Finally 3 days before the setoff, we manage to have the confirmation for flight and iternerary in our hands. From the v beginning, right from the moment we booked our trip with Travel Star, it was a nightmare.

10days before our prior setoff date which was suppose to be on 15th May, the person called us to say that if we wana go Jiu Zhai Gou, we have to pay $200 more per person as there were not enough ppl to go. (initially there were but a family of 7 backed out and it was said that they have minister of parliament letter so they no need pay a single cent) What rubbish. Of course u could imagine how heated the argument i had on the phone with the person in charge.

Then we finally cooled down whn i suggest to go a new place. So the alternative they gave us were 1) 6days 5 nights Hongkong on budget air, with only meals provided for 2 days or 2) 8days 7 nights in Shanghai with most meals provided and sit China Eastern Air. So of course we choose option 2, and that's when the 2nd wave of nightmare begins.

To start off with, we have to pay $30 more each for the additional night (e 7th night) if not we will lose 1 full day if we get a lousy flight time.
-> So that makes per person $720.

Then, they put us on waiting list for 3 flight time thur midnight, fri morn and fri afternn. if we get fri aftrnn it means we will lose 1 full day of program. So on last fri, they told me if we cant get the thur night or fri morn flight, we sld sit Cathay pacific flight on fri morn and pay $20 more each. Yest morn, they say we cant get so we have to take Cathay flight.
-> So now per person $740.

Then when i went down to collect my tics, on the iternerary it states that each person has to pay a tour guide tips fee of 4Sin/day for 8 days, which means which person 32Sin. And even on my free and easy day i also have to pay???? No SENSE
-> So now per person $772

And then theres a 5 indiv night tour which cost 80Sin. the 5 night night tours consist of a circus performance, 2 night street walks, 1 song and dance performance and 1 river night cruise. alternatively, each tour can be gotten at 20Sin. After i check out the maps on internet, i realized the 2 night street tours are only walking distance from the hotel. AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE US 20SIN FOR ONLY A 5MIN BUS RIDE????

what the hell, if i had bought the night tour package on the spot it would cost us $852 per person lor. Luckily i hesitated and they say we can actually purchase the package there. BUT if the rest of the tour go, we must go. NO LOGIC RIGHT, i think we sldnt go, cheat our $.

So that how the whole nightmare goes,now that the trip is settle, really hope we can have a fun time there and not be so cocked up
